Pictoico releases an initial set of icon & pictogram. It contains 100 vector pictograms/icon that free to download. It available under Creative Commons license. From their blog, their objective is they want to create visual initiative that uniform, globally accepted, contemporary yet modern, unique yet highly recognizable symbol style.
They claim that they will create at least 1,000 main symbols gradually during 2010. Symbols will cover various aspects and thematics: from business, finance, health, tourism and transportation to sports, actions, religions, animals, even political divisions and other everyday life elements; basically covering every single aspect and thematic we encounter in our everyday life.
Hmmm a really nice idea
